Baobab Blast … Vacation Bible School at High Peak

Vacation Bible School starts Sunday with the Baobab Blast – a week of studying God’s word and having lots of fun for all ages. We have a class for everyone from babies to adults.

SCHEDULE

Sunday – Thursday (all times PM)

Supper – 6:00 – 6:30
Classes including Bible Study, Crafts, Music, Recreation – 6:30 – 8:30
Closing Session and Parents Picking Up Kids – 8:30

Friday Night

We will have a special celebration at 6:30 with a meal and some fun to follow.

Mission Trip to Wisconsin

Please pray for our mission team as they travel to Madison Wisconsin. We will be working at Midvale Baptist Church doing a soccer camp, some construction and also working with another church in the area doing more construction.

We leave at 8:00 am on July 17 and travel first to Cincinnati, OH. The next day we will be in Madison by the end of the day. We will work in the mornings at the camp, sharing Christ. Then in the afternoons we will do light construction work.

On Friday we will return to Cincinnati and to North Carolina on Saturday, July 24th. Come Sunday July 25th to hear about the trip that Sunday night at 6:00 pm.

If you don’t have a youth to participate, invite a friend, family member or neighbor to bring their kids. And please pray for them, especially the Summer Missions Project with the Good Samaritan Clinic.

Outdoor Movie – Billy: The Early Years

Our Summer Outdoor Movies are starting this coming Friday at 9:00 pm. The first movie will be the Billy: The Early Years about the early life of Billy Graham, the great evangelist. Invite friends and family and bring chairs, bug repellent and some snacks.

Father’s Day

Father’s Day is this Sunday. We have a couple of special Father’s Day happenings, or at least in one case a non-happening.

First, the ladies are fixing breakfast for us. All Dads and Sons are welcome to come get some eggs, biscuits and gravy at 9:00 am.

Then, after Sunday School and worship we have the day to ourselves. There will be no evening activities, so enjoy some extra family time.

And for Dads, I will be preaching on The Encouraging Father.

I began a new series today called ENERGY based on Colossians 1:29. The choir sang a great special and Delores Trenary also lead us in an excellent special music.

We welcomed the Lawsons into the fellowship of our church today!
