Update On Website

Posted by The Pastor on January 27, 2008

Let me apologize if you are one of the few who saw the objectionable content that found its way onto our web site. They were in the forum under Pastor’s Sermons. Some outsiders joined our site and posted this content. NONE OF IT was posted by anyone who has anything to do with our church.

The fault lies with me. I set up our forum so it was easy to register since so many had trouble registering before. But because I made it so easy people with selfish motives found our site and posted links to their web sites which contained very disgusting content. This has been corrected. Now anyone who wants to register to post will have to be approved by me. When you do PLEASE USE A NAME THAT IS EASILY IDENTIFIABLE TO ME AND ANYONE ELSE WHO WOULD READ YOUR POSTS.

The State of the Church

Posted by The Pastor on January 16, 2008

On Sunday morning I will be sharing “The Annual State of the Church” message. This will focus on where we’ve been in the past year and where I hope we will be going in the coming year. Please go over to the forum and post any comments or suggestions you have about this topic.

UPDATE: The forum feature is no longer available on the site.  You can make comments to this post below.

Specifically, what do you remember from the past year that was significant and shows how God has worked? Also what do you hope to see happen in the coming year? Where could we improve our church?

Forum entry for this message.

UPDATE:  I didn’t preach this message due to the bad weather and a lower than usual turnout.  I will instead preach it next week.  I hope you will be there and if you have any ideas, let me know.

Psalm 29

This week I will be preaching from Psalm 29. Give it a read and let me know what you think. How does this Psalm speak to you? What ideas flood your mind as you read it?

Here we are!  The High Peak web site is beginning to take shape.  Poncho and I have gotten together to come with ideas for the site and it should start looking like a usable, functioning net home for our church.

If you have an idea for what we could include, then let me or Poncho know.  In the coming weeks you will see pages for our various ministries as well as a forum where you can interact with one another.  We of cours will keep you updated with news about our church.  And we hope to integrate the GROW strategy into our site.  When the forum gets going I plan to use it to interact with you as I prepare my messages.  So I hope you will come tak a look each Wednesday to learn what I will be preaching that coming Sunday and maybe even help me by sharing your thoughts, feelings and illustrations about that passage.

Thanks for looking and God bless!
