Of course you can pray. Giving helps too. We have already received a lot of offering money via our regular offerings in addition to our church giving $5,000. But now the Baptist Men of North Carolina have started a new initiative called “Buckets of Hope”. To learn more about it, download the PDF file which gives the list of contents and instructions for packing it.

The essentials are that you buy a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. These can be purchased locally at ACE Hardware or Lowe’s. Then fill it with the items listed in the PDF document. It includes things like rice, sugar, oil, flour, etc.. Then put them in the bucket and take it to a drop off point. In our area, the Catawba River Baptist Association is such a drop off point. You can find it on US HWY 70 between Morganton and Drexel on the south side of the road.

You need to follow the instructions in the PDF file so don’t just get the items and throw them together.

This is a great way to share the love of Christ in a tangible way. For more information you can go to the Baptists on Mission site.
