FOOTSTEPS: A Special Time for Kids 2-5 on Wednesdays at High Peak!! This will start this week for all pre-school children at our church. If you have a child or grand child in this group you will want to have him or her present. Just “follow the footsteps to the class downstairs” and let your child learn about God’s love and who Jesus is and what he has done for them.

The time will include:

• Bible Lessons
• Crafts
• Fun
• Prayer
• Games
• Snacks

Don’t let your child miss this time. And parents, stay for the adult Bible studying the fellowship hall.

Our 2011 Vacation Bible School theme is Shake It Up Cafe! We will study the feast days of Israel in a fun and exciting way learning more about ourselves and God’s word along the way. We have  classes for everyone from the toddlers to the adults. For the first time in many years we will have a class for the youth. The adult class will meet after the nightly supper in the fellowship hall. Come to eat or just come for the class at about 6:40.

On November 6 at 5 PM our church is hosting KidzRock. I wanted to give you an idea of what it is like so here is a video I shot at the last KidzRock at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in August.

This video features two of our kids who got to participate in the game they played that night. Be sure to plan to be there Nov. 6 at 5.

Starting in September, but really kicking off if full force in October, our children’s group will be doing TeamKID a fun and active discipleship experience.

Here is a little commercial a few of our kids and the leaders made to advertise it to our church.

Here is the streaming video of the Children’s Christmas Program. They did some music at the very beginning and then after congregational carols were sung they did their play – a very cute story about the animal’s view of the birth of Jesus.  After the video are some announcements about upcoming Christmas celebrations at High Peak.

This Sunday

This Sunday morning will be the next message in our 12 Ways of Christmas, based on David Jeremiah’s book.  Then in the evening, the adult choir will present the Christmas Cantata – a moving message of hope for hurting people at Christmas time with some beautiful music including solos by Harrison Abernathy, Cierra Stamey and Jimmy Stamey. Drama videos are from MERGE – our drama Team. We hope you can come. There will be a preview of the Cantata in the morning service.

Christmas Eve

At 6:00 pm there will be a candlelight communion worship service. Come and bring your family for a meaningful time of worship and renewal.
