Courgeous Showing January 22 at 5 PM

We are proud to announce that we will be showing the film Courageous on January 22 at 5 PM. The movie will be seen in the Sanctuary and is open to all ages free of charge. Please invite family and friends to come see this important movie about the courage of being a faithful father and husband.

My sons and I have seen the movie and it will challenge you, entertain you and hopefully make you think. We laughed harder at this movie than we have in a long time. I hope you plan to come and be sure to bring your friends.

The Social will include meat provided by the church. Just bring your favorite dish and dessert to share. The kids will enjoy eating with Santa Claus who will be joining us for the party.

After the social, if you want to stay or come back, we will hook up the Satellite and enjoy Sunday Night Football with the Giants taking not the Cowboys. Invite friends to watch on the big screen!

All week our Association will be giving away toys to needy families so that they can give their children a nice Christmas. Please pray as we share the Gospel with these parents and also pray that God will use this ministry to help them know the joy of Christmas in Jesus Christ, not just presents.

Next Thrive Team Meeting

Next Thrive Team Meeting

Our next Thrive Team Meeting will be Wednesday, September 21 after a special time of Prayer and Devotion for Thrive and our church.

Thrive Team MeetingThe goal of our Thrive Team is to help our church Thrive Again! in the Acts 2 model where the church was devoted to the practices of the church and resulted in powerful growth in their relationships with Jesus Christ, their number, the kinds of ministry they were doing and the number of churches that eventually were established.

Our team will be going through a few phases:

  1. Learning: what a Biblical church looks like, what kind of community we live in and where we’ve been as a church
  2. Dreaming: what could we become as a church if we transitioned into a Thriving church
  3. Planning: put together some goals and suggested ways for our church to transition into a Thriving church
  4. Sharing: communicating what God taught us and we believe he told us should be the future of our church

Our Thrive Team members are made up of people from all the different age groups of our church, people who have been long time members and very new members, and both men and women. Pray for Thrive! Pray every day during our 30 Days of Prayer which continues for another two weeks.
