Senior Adult Christmas Luncheon a Success

The Senior Adults of our church held their Christmas Luncheon on Tuesday and enjoyed a lot of fun, food and fellowship. We enjoyed some Christmas music, ate our lunch and played some games. We closed in prayer and went home full – of food and satisfaction of joyful fellowship.

During the musical part of the luncheon, we heard from Gary Poteat and Delores Trenary who shared special music. Delores sang beautifully and drew us to the throne of God with her amazing voice. Gary also entertained us with his old-fashioned song Rocking Around the Christmas Tree while a few of the attendees actually got up and danced. Finally, he sang to the glory of God and all enjoyed hearing both.

After a meal catered by Timberwoods, we played Dirty Santa. For those not familiar with the game, participants draw numbers and the select gifts from a pool of items wrapped. The first person picks and then the second through final people can select from one of the wrapped gifts or steal an unwrapped gift. The last person to pick is the one who went first.

During dirty Santa Judy Auton won the prize for best victim since others stole her gifts half a dozen times. But she got the last laugh since she drew the number one and got the final pick.
