Church Revitalization

This month we begin the process of looking at Church Revitalization. Our Director of Missions for the Catawba River Baptist Association will come and challenge us to take a hard look at where we’ve been and where we need to go as a church. Robby Smith offers this consulting to us over a five-week process. He uses information about our church to inspire us to seek more for the glory of God.

Who Needs to Come

Everyone who cares about the future of High Peak Baptist Church needs to attend starting Feb. 10 at 6:00 p.m. in our Fellowship Hall. The process takes five weeks, with one week off in March for reflection and prayer.

Find out more about worship at High Peak.

While we hope every member will see the need to attend, every church leader is expected to come if possible. That includes…

  • Pastor
  • Staff
  • Deacons
  • Sunday School Teachers
  • Ministry Leaders (children, youth, Seniors, Nursery, Vacation Bible School, Young Adults, etc.)
  • Creative people
  • Prayer warriors
  • Long time members
  • New members
  • Worship volunteers like choir members, musicians, tech crew

Get the idea? This is an all hands on deck moment for our church. We need servants and willing people to carry out God’s mission for our church.

Great Start on First Night

Our first night of our Church Revitalization emphasis went well. Robby Smith asked some hard questions like…

  • What are our strengths and weaknesses?
  • Is there anything that our church needs to repent of as a body?
  • What if High Peak suddenly ceased to exist? Would our church be missed by our community?

Be sure to be with us each Sunday at 6:00 p.m. to hear from Robby and learn how our church can achieve all God wants. Also, remember the homework. List the names of three people that you know in our community that are lost. Invite them to church and offer to pick them up and have breakfast or lunch with them as well.
