Halloween’s coming and we’re planning our annual celebration for the community on Halloween Day with candy, costumes, fun, and a big giveaway for the kids who drive through.
Due to higher than expected Covid, we won’t do our typical Trunk or Treat with decorated cars and kids walking around getting candy and prizes. Instead, we will hand out candy like we did last year. Everyone can drive through our parking lot and our volunteers will hand out candy and prizes to each child in each vehicle.
Halloween Trick or Treat Time and Date
This year Halloween lands on a Sunday so we’ll host our Trick or Treat on Sunday, October 31 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. You can come through at any time between three and five. We will have a lot of candy on hand for everyone who comes.
The volunteers at High Peak will put together treat bags with candy and some other cool prizes.
Volunteers Needed
We need your help if you’re a member or partner with our church. You can bring bags of candy and other fun prizes to give away in the treat bags. Please bring them to the church. You can place them in the boxes inside the front door of our church building.
See Marie Pendley if you plan to be there on that day or you can bring some needed decorations.
We also need some people willing to show up on that day to pass out the treat bags, direct traffic through our parking lot, and greet the kids. If you want to help, let Marie Pendley know as soon as possible.
Finally, please bring some decorations like fake pumpkins, scarecrows, and cornstalks. Let Marie know if you plan to bring some decorations.
Big Prizes for Lucky Winners – Win a Bike
In addition to the treat bags with candy and prizes, we plan to give away a bicycle to one lucky child plus some other fun prizes like gift cards and more. You’ll fill out a contact card to gain entry into the drawing, which we’ll do that night after the event is over. We’ll contact you to come to pick up your prizes on Wednesday night, November 3 at 7:00 p.m.
