The old weather man threatened our Sunday morning worship services with up to three inches of snow.
We use a service that will text you if we cancel worship services. Just send a text message that says, “highpeak” without the quotes, to 292929. You will get on our list for emergency text messages so you know the moment we decide to cancel a worship service.
Hopefully that won’t happen this week since we have a special day planned for Marie Pendley to dedicate little Gideon during the morning worship. Then we’ll celebrate with a luncheon in the fellowship hall after the worship service.
Sunday night we’ll have a special Prayer and Praise service. I’m planning to talk about the movie The Shack. Should Christians watch the movie and is it theologically suspect? I’ll talk about what issues Bible believing Christians might have with the theology espoused in the film.
