Vacation Bible School a Great Success

We had a wonderful Vacation Bible School at High Peak. Over 130 people showed up during the week to study God’s word, hear the Gospel and enjoy some fellowship. We also raised money for the Catawba River Baptist Association Toy Store. The Toy Store helps low income families give their families Christmas.

The biggest benefit of our Vacation Bible School comes with baptisms. We will baptize at least one and possibly two or more in the coming weeks. That’s the ultimate goal of VBS!

The Dr. Seuss theme made for a fun week as we studied the word with stories that inspired the messages like Horton Hears a Who, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas and more.

Finally, a big thanks to Mandy and Zabrina Hice and Sarah Smith who did a great job of planning this year’s VBS.

Now I know that our trio of VBS directors would not want leave off the great volunteers. We had dedicated people cooking meals, teaching Bible study, leading in crafts, music and recreation and helping wherever they were needed.
